Members of the FirmILIYA M. FRIDMANPrior to founding the Fridman Law Group in 2004, Iliya was an associate in the corporate department of the law firm of DeForest & Duer LP (now a part of Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C.). During his 5 year tenure at DeForest & Duer, Iliya worked on a wide array of complex legal issues facing technology and new media companies, including venture capital transactions and intellectual property protection and licensing.
Admitted to the New York bar in 1999, Iliya is also a member of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, and the Licensing Executives Society. Iliya earned his B.A. in Philosophy from Connecticut College and
J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Born and raised in Moscow, Iliya is fluent in Russian. Prior to joining the Fridman Law Group, Jerald worked in the Futures and International Division at Prudential Securities where he oversaw the company's international online sales and marketing strategies and the International Privacy Office. Following the company's consolidation with Wachovia Securities, Jerald was responsible for developing financial products for Wachovia Securities' Latin America Division and the affiliated Dryden Private Bank in Geneva, Switzerland. Jerald's prior legal experience includes work for the Federal Trade Commission and the compliance unit of Merrill Lynch's Corporate and Institutional Client Group.
Jerald holds a B.A. from Brandeis University (cum laude), and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where he served as the Senior Articles Editor of the Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1999. Jerald was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Lauren is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School, where she also worked as Notes & Comments Editor for the Brooklyn Journal of Corporate, Commercial, and Financial Law. Before joining Fridman Law Group, Lauren interned for the Hon. Kiyo Matsumoto in the Eastern District Court of New York and worked as an associate at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. Lauren holds a B.A. in Anthropology with minors in Political Science and Chemistry from Wake Forest University. She was admitted to the New York Bar in 2009 and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Lauren is fluent in Spanish. Prior to joining Fridman Law Group, Ben studied at Pace University and Baruch College in New York City, during which time he interned and trained at DeForest & Duer LP (now merged with Anderson Kill & Olick). After the merger, Ben joined Black & Associates where he gained experience in corporate law in the formation of companies and assisted general counsel of Internet companies during the "startup boom" of the early 2000s.
Ben now handles all aspects of the firm's operations including handling corporate and immigration matters as paralegal. Ben also serves as the firm's general office manager and webmaster. |
